“I didn’t think wellness was for me, so I made something that is.”
Aaron Taylor - saam rituals creator and founder
hello and welcome!
My wellness journey began in 2020 after losing both of my parents in a car accident. The grief was overwhelming, and for a long time I wasn’t living in a healthy way. I overdrank, overate, chain-vaped every flavored e-cig I could find, and spent hours glued to my phone. I was in and out of therapy, struggling to process the change that comes from such a traumatic loss.
Eventually, I found the right therapist who helped me begin to move forward. That’s when I realized my next step wasn’t just therapy, but also finding a healthier daily rhythm. The problem was, wellness didn’t feel made for me. I tried downloading apps, scrolling through endless videos, and reading complicated journal prompts, but it all felt overwhelming. Most nights I would just give up.
So I started small. Five minutes of yoga, a quick journal entry, a short meditation. Altogether it became a 15-minute tea break at night that gave me space to breathe and reset. Slowly, that routine grew into a ritual that helped me feel grounded, present, and healthier in a way that fit my real life.
Friends I shared this with told me I should create it for others, especially for people who don’t feel at home in a yoga studio or who get lost scrolling through wellness content online. The idea for saam rituals came to me one evening sitting outside my therapist’s office. I heard the ding of a microwave and thought: what if wellness could be as simple as making a cup of tea?
That thought became the foundation of saam rituals. A subscription that combines beautiful, calming tea with simple yoga, quick journal prompts, and short meditations. Not overwhelming, not intimidating, not just for the “wellness crowd” — but for everyone who wants to create a ritual and carve out a little space for themselves.
saam rituals is my answer to a wellness world that often feels out of reach. It is approachable, repeatable, and designed for real people. I didn’t think wellness was for me, so I made something that is.
